What is Kurdistan Policy Library?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Kurdistan Policy Library (KPL) is an online repository of digital (or digitised) public policy documents produced by and for the Kurdistan region of Iraq. It is an archive to store policy documents with relevant metadata to facilitate easy navigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KPA now hosts hundreds of policy documents, and the numbers are growing daily. Currently, the repository stores only policy documents about education in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. In the future, KDA hopes to accommodate hosting documents related to other areas of public affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why KPL?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

KPL was born out of a concern for the state of documentary research in the Kurdistan region of Iraq and globally. Documentary and other forms of research require access to public policy documents, something researchers of Kurdistan public policy did have until KPL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who is behind KPL?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

KPL is built and designed by Pashew Nuri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pashew Nuri is an education researcher with expertise and interest in the following fields of research:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Education policy and reform
2. Curriculum and instruction
3. Teacher-policy relationships
4. Teachers lives
5. Comparative and international education <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pashew completed his Masters of education at the University of Cincinnati, USA. Prior to embarking on my doctoral journey, he served as an Assistant Lecturer at Tishk International University-Erbil. During his tenure there, he taught various courses focused on education and curriculum practices and theories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While researching education policy in the Kurdistan region of Iraq for his PhD, Pashew faced difficulties finding policy documents online. The scarcity and dispersity of documents added another layer of challenges to his research project. As he managed to find documents one after the other, his collection grew, and he decided to build a repository for them for later use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
